12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT (INITIAL)
Cavan GAA are seeking to fill the above posts to assist with the implementation of the recently completed Cavan GAA Player Pathway and Coaching Pathway Report. These are exciting opportunities for suitably qualified persons to further develop their skills in the area of Coaching & Games Development by becoming part of a team of highly experienced and professional Coaching & Athletic Performance personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – GAMES DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
The successful candidate shall be responsible for the implementation of GAA Games Development Policy within a region of the County. He/she will organise and coordinate the development of games opportunities, skill development initiatives, education programmes, and other support initiatives within his/her region:
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 years’ experience working in the GAA or similar sporting organization (voluntary or professional capacity)
- Appropriate third level qualification
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – GAMES PROMOTION OFFICER
The successful candidates shall be responsible for the delivery of schools GAA coaching programmes, Easter/Summer camp coaching, community & disability development work, and other club development initiatives.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- GAA Award Level 1 Coaching Award or equivalent
- Proven experience of coaching children & youths
A third level qualification in a sports related field, while desirable, is not essential.
Given the nature of the employer’s activities the duties pertaining to both posts will require working outside of normal hours and at weekends.
