Opening of the Breffni Gallery.
On Saturday evening last on ” Cavan Day” in glorious sunshine Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Larry Mc Carthy officialy opened our new ” Breffni Gallery”. The Breffni Gallery is a unique space developed in Kingspan Breffni to show case the history of all things Cavan GAA. The dedication and hard work of former Cavan County Museum curator Savina Donohoe, former Cavan Co Board Chairman and Historian George Cartwright and Children’s Officer Anne Fortune brought this project to fruition under the artistic direction of Martin Gaffney. Cavan Co Board now have a beautiful space that represents our Cavan GAA history across all codes.
We were joined on that evening by several public, ecumenical, GAA and Cavan Council representatives, former and present Cavan footballers and members of our wider GAA community.
Cavan Co Board would like to thank everyone involved in this wonderful project and are now the proud custodians of the Breffni Gallery.
