Kingspan Breffni receives European Healthy Stadia Award
Cavan GAA are delighted that Kingspan Breffni has been awarded European Healthy Stadia status as announced by our outgoing Chairman in his address at convention. It is the first GAA stadium outside of Croke Park to receive this prestigious award.
Huge thanks to our Project Healthy U and Health & Well-being committee’s for their ongoing hard work. We also thank our partners for their ongoing support also, Healthy Cavan, HSE, Cavan Co Council, Cavan Institute, Kingspan, RSA, GAA, Kiernan’s Service Stations, Nutrisnax, Yomega, Rudden’s Service Station.
A number of all inclusive community activities took place this year from health seminars, weekly run walk jog get togethers, road safety initiative, stadium tours to name a few. We implemented a tobacco free policy in May where all pitch viewing areas are non-smoking including the non-use of e-cigarettes. Healthy food options are available in all our shops.
Plans are being put in place for activities in 2020.
